The terms that govern your use of the SITRAQ platform, reports and alerts — please read them carefully before using the service.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you (and any organisation you represent) and SITRAQ.
“SITRAQ” (“we”, “us”, the “Service”) is a security-intelligence platform that aggregates open-source and local reporting on Iraq and the wider region and delivers a live incident picture, alerts, and daily, weekly and monthly reports. The Service is operated from Baghdad, Iraq. To reach us, use the details on our Contact page.
By accessing the platform, receiving reports, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms, the Disclaimer, and the Privacy Policy below. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.
Access is granted by us — there is no public self-registration. We provision each account and issue credentials directly. Platform access (the live app) and reports access (Daily / Weekly / Monthly) are separate entitlements; you may hold either or both. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Accounts are for the named subscriber or organisation only and may not be shared, resold or transferred without our written approval.
We may offer a free trial (typically 7 days). During a trial, reports are illustrative SAMPLES using fictional data and clearly marked as such — they are not real intelligence and must not be relied upon. Trials expire automatically unless converted to a paid subscription.
Paid access is provided against the fees and term agreed with you (for example, monthly or annually) and is invoiced directly. Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, fees are non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable law. Access ends when the paid term expires or is not renewed.

The platform, its software, design, compilation, analysis, classification and the reports are the intellectual property of SITRAQ (underlying facts and third-party source material remain the property of their owners). While your subscription is active, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service and reports for your own internal security purposes only. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The Service provides information, not advice. It is not professional security, legal, safety, evacuation, insurance or travel advice, and no analyst-client relationship is created. See the Disclaimer in section 2, which forms part of these Terms.
We work to keep the Service available and current, but it is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and coverage, sources, features and delivery times may change. Automated collection and third-party sources may cause delays, gaps or errors outside our control.
We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, if fees are unpaid, or where required to protect the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your licence and access end; the sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) continue to apply.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SITRAQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, data, or loss or harm arising from decisions or actions taken (or not taken) in reliance on the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).
You agree to indemnify SITRAQ against claims, losses and costs arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms, including any unauthorised redistribution of reports or content.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published here with its “last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, and the competent courts of Baghdad shall have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you may have under the law of your own country of residence.
Please read this carefully — it explains what SITRAQ information is, and what it is not.
SITRAQ is an information and situational-awareness tool. It is NOT an emergency service and must never be your sole basis for any life-safety, evacuation or emergency decision. In an emergency, contact the local authorities and your own security provider immediately.
SITRAQ aggregates reporting from open-source and local information channels. Incidents are reported, not independently field-confirmed by us. Reporting may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, exaggerated, or in rare cases fabricated at source. We screen for noise, duplicates and rumour, but we cannot guarantee the truth of any individual report.
Severity, category, location and summaries are generated automatically, including by algorithms and AI language models. These may misclassify, mislocate, mistranslate, or occasionally produce errors. AI-generated summaries and translations should be treated as drafts, not verified statements of fact.
All information is provided “as is” without warranty of accuracy, completeness, reliability or timeliness. You are responsible for verifying information independently before acting on it, and for all decisions and actions you take. SITRAQ accepts no liability for any loss, damage or harm arising from use of, or reliance on, the information (see section 1.11).
Any report or data marked “SAMPLE” or provided during a free trial uses fictional demonstration data. It illustrates format only and must never be treated as real intelligence.
Unless stated otherwise, all times are Baghdad local time (AST, UTC+3). Regional items (Iran, the Gulf, Syria, Israel, Lebanon) are included for context where they may affect Iraq's security picture, and do not imply the same source coverage or confidence as Iraq itself.
How we handle the limited personal data of our clients and enquirers.
This policy covers personal data we hold about account holders and people who contact us. It does not cover the security incidents we report on, which are drawn from public and open sources and are not personal data we collect about you.
We use personal data to provide and secure the Service: to authenticate you, deliver reports and alerts, manage your subscription, respond to enquiries, provide support, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.
We rely on a small number of trusted processors who host and run the Service on our behalf, including cloud hosting and platform infrastructure, authentication and database services, and an email-delivery provider for reports and notifications. Incident text (not your personal data) may be processed by third-party AI providers to summarise and translate it. These providers may process data on servers outside Iraq; we share only what is needed to run the Service and require it to be kept confidential.
We use only what is necessary to run the Service: a session token to keep you signed in, and a stored language preference. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We keep account and subscription data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and security needs, then delete or anonymise it. Enquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and our records.
Access is protected by authentication and encrypted in transit, and access to client data is limited to what is necessary to operate the Service. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to close your account. To make a request, contact us using the details on our Contact page; we will respond within a reasonable time and subject to applicable law.
The Service is intended for professional and organisational use and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
